Sarah Diamond Burroway loves community theatre. She directs Actors for Children Theatre, which she co-founded with her husband in 2012. ACT, a touring ensemble of adult actors performing for arts-underserved children, has won Outstanding Production awards at the Kentucky Theatre Association Community Theatre Festival (2013, 2014) as well as awards for Best Costume / Make-Up Design, Best Ensemble and Best Actor. ACT has represented Kentucky at SETC's Community Theatre Festival (2014, 2015) under Sarah's direction. Sarah is treasurer of the Kentucky Theatre Association. She is a member of the directing team for the New Play Festival at Ashland KY Community and Technical College. Her monologue, “To the Woman at Food Fair Who Screamed at Her Child” debuted in NYC in March 2015 in a curated preshow for Eve Ensler's “I Am an Emotional Creature” as part of a fundraiser for prevention of violence against women. Sarah works as a grants and technical writer in higher education.
