This is the true story of a Sadako who falls ill from *radiation sickness* 10 years after Hiroshima's atomic bomb. She's visited in the hospital by a friend who shares the legend of the paper crane: if you fold 1,000 cranes, your wish for health and life will come true.

In this musical patchwork of American history, a pioneer woman and her daughters stitch together the interrelated stories of dozens of women into a colorful masterpiece. Through music, drama and dance, each "quilt block" celebrates the women of the frontier.
