Black Sash is an original production written and researched by students celebrating the work of the Black Sash women’s organization and their fight against apartheid. The production centers on the efforts of these upper/middle class women as they fought the injustices of apartheid. The production takes us on a journey from 1955 through 1990 and Nelson Mandela’s release.

Spectral Laughter: Constructing a Modern Subjectivity through Humor in The Castle Spectre
As a first year doctoral student in the Joint Ph.D Program in Drama and Theatre at the U of California, Irvine and U of California, San Diego, he is interested in the intersection between technology and identity, affect studies, and performance philosophy, alongside Shakespearean and Gothic drama, theatre and performance.

Terry is the consummate actor, director, singer, composer and dancer enjoying a career that has never had a break. He received nominations for multiple Tony’s, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Emmy Awards for his roles on Broadway and television. SETC is honored to present Terrence Mann with our highest honor, the 2014 SETC Distinguished Career Award.
