Robin Carr is a Lessac Certified Trainer and Associate Professor of Voice and Acting at the University of Southern Mississippi. She is currently President-Elect for the International Lessac Training and Research Institute. In 2011, Robin was fortunate enough to teach a one week workshop with Arthur Lessac himself and Master Lessac Teacher, Deborah Kinghorn at the University of Rijeka in Croatia to prepare for their new Post Masters’ Program in Acting, Media and Culture Studies. Carr then returned to Croatia where she taught the Lessac curriculum under the direction of the international film actor, Rade Šerbedžija. Robin has most recently returned from teaching Lessac Kinesensic workshops at the Gaeity School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland; The National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney, Australia; and with the Theatre Actors Guild in Manila, Philippines. Robin has been the Chair of the Voice and Speech Committee for the Southeastern Theatre Conference and is a member of the Voice and Speech Trainer’s Association.
