Daisha is an instructor of Speech and director of Theatre at MGCCC-Perkinston Campus for the past 23 years. Within that time she has directed ten musicals, twelve Children's Theatre shows [six based on her original scripts; six of these were awarded Best Overall Production for Youth at the MS Theatre Association Festival], and seventeen dramas [Six were entered into the State American College Theatre Festival and one was recommended for the Regional Festival]. She has received grants from the MS Arts Commission and the MS Humanities Council. She is a member and past president of the Mississippi Alliance for Arts Education. For the Mississippi Theatre Association she has served as an assistant to the Children's Theatre Division Chair and as Vice President. She is also a director for the Telling Trees oral history project in Stone county as a interviewer, theatre director, storyteller, and writer.
