Stephen Gundersheim received his B.S. in theatre from Northwestern University with a concentration in acting and musical theatre and earned his M.F.A. is in Theatre for Youth from Arizona State University with an emphasis in directing. He is a professor in the Theatre and Dance Department at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. Stephen teaches Directing, Acting, Musical Theatre, Theatre Education classes, and directs productions for the department. At Winthrop Stephen enjoys working with the Theatre Education majors as they study to become theatre teachers. While at Winthrop, Stephen has directed multiple plays and musicals. He has also directed in the Charlotte area at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte, Theatre Charlotte and at the Jewish Community Center of Charlotte. Stephen is a member of AATE, SETC, SCTA and EdTA and lives in Charlotte, NC.
