Jeremy Gillett is a featured artist for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region IV (KCACTF).

He is a graduate of Bluegrass Community and Technical College (A.A.), the University of Kentucky (BA) and Arizona State University (MFA).

He is the author of Black and 25 in America written while he was a student at the University of Kentucky. The play examines how four unique characters feel invisible and without voice. He received a teaching assistantship at Arizona State University where he was chosen as The Broadway League and ATPAM First National Intern and The Broadway League and ATPAM First National Intern for Memphis.

Gillett has had supporting roles in several independent films: Raptors (2017), with Martin Lawrence as Executive Producer; Justice Served(2014), directed by Marvin Young; Car Dogs (2013), directed by Adam Collins; and Hitting the Cycle (2012), directed by Daron Anthony and J. Richy Nash.

My journey has not been in a straight line and I believe my work as an artist and teacher is enhanced by the jagged edges. It is my delight to be with this fine group of educators and students at this year's festival. My play Black and 25 in America is my way of pushing us to think about the humanity of all human beings.
