Professor Laura Rikard is head of the BFA Acting program at Steven F Austin State University. A stage/film and devising
Laura Rikard is a stage/film actress, director, and movement/devised theatre specialist. She has worked with the Actor's Studio, LaMAMA, ETC, New Perspectives Theatre and appeared at Carnegie Hall. She studied Commedia dell'Arte with master teachers Antionio Fava, Carlos Garcia, and Christopher Bayes. She studied devising and physical theatre with Odin Teatret. She received her MA in Acting from Liverpool Institute For the Performing Arts, and MFA in Drama from the University of Virginia. She is a member of SAG/AFTRA. She won the BEST ACTING AWARD at the 2011 Virginia Film Festival. She is the head of acting/movement for the BFA/BA School of Theatre at Stephen F. Austin State University.
