Scott Hayes is the dean and professor of theatre arts for the School of Visual & Performing Arts at Liberty University. He maintains his professional work as a director, actor, and playwright. He is a member of SAG/AFTRA and AEA. His short play WITHOUT EXCUSE is published by CHRISTIANITY AND THEATRE, his production of AS YOU LIKE IT was profiled in SOUTHERN THEATRE, and he directed BLOODROOT: THE BALLAD OF CLINCH MOUNTAIN, a play written and performed by a 20-member all-female company, which was nationally recognized by the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival as a Distinguished Production of a New Work. His adaptation of the best-selling novel REDEEMING LOVE has been produced across the United States. He is the editor of two books: ARTHUR SULLIVAN: THE CALIFORNIA CONNECTION, and ‘YOUR AFFECTIONATE A:’ A COLLECTION OF SIR ARTHUR SULLIVAN'S LETTERS TO HIS FAMILY.
